What You Should Know About the Distribution Technician:

• Typical hours and days vary. (1st shift 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m., 2nd shift 12:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m.)
• This position is based within Jefferson Regional Materials Management Department

Job Summary:

A Distribution Technician is responsible for accurately receiving, storing, issuing materials, supplies, and equipment, and maintaining the warehouse in a clean and orderly manner. They ensure efficient and timely delivery of supplies and equipment to user departments and maintain accurate records on inventory and equipment.

Distribution Technician Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• This is a safety sensitive position. *
• Minimum Requirements:
  • Ability to follow written or verbal instructions
  • Mathematical ability for unit of measure conversions, receiving counts, and verification
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to speak and read English for training purposes and communications with patients/co-workers
• Preferred Requirements:
  • Hospital or industrial warehouse distribution or inventory control experience a plus
  • Possess good guest relations skills
