Distributor Operator
We are currently seeking an experienced Asphalt Distributor Operator to join our team. The Asphalt Distributor Operator’s primary responsibility is to operate an asphalt distributor truck, applying liquid asphalt to areas before they are paved. The operator will also be responsible for conducting daily maintenance checks, addressing any mechanical or safety concerns, and assisting with the overall operation of the job site.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the asphalt distributor truck, ensuring the accurate and efficient application of liquid asphalt.
- Perform daily maintenance checks on equipment, ensure it is in proper working condition, and report any issues to a supervisor.
- Fill asphalt and burner fuel tanks as needed.
- Set up and adjust spray bars for optimal asphalt distribution.
- Spray joints and other surfaces to prepare for paving.
- Clean excess asphalt from tanks and spray bars after use.
- Drive company vehicles, including those used for transporting materials and equipment.
- Set up and maintain traffic control measures to ensure safety on and around the job site.
- Operate additional equipment such as rollers, trucks, power brooms, tampers, skid steer loaders, and other machinery as qualified.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, climb, and lift objects ranging from 10 to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to climb ladders or steps to access the operator's seat in the equipment.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating asphalt distributor trucks or similar equipment.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class B) with Tanker Endorsement required.
- Ability to operate a variety of equipment, including rollers, trucks, and skid steer loaders.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for performing minor repairs and maintenance on equipment.
- Ability to work well with a team, ensuring the smooth operation of job sites.
- Commitment to safety, with the ability to follow all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
