Job Purpose

The Dive Center Divemaster is a site-based operational role responsible for leading dive excursions, assisting with dive training programs, and supporting the efficient day-to-day operation of the dive center at the assigned asset. The role plays a key part in delivering safe, professional, and memorable underwater tourism experiences aligned with Galaxea, RSSE, and Red Sea Global standards.


The Divemaster supports the Dive Center Manager in ensuring operational readiness, guest satisfaction, safety compliance, and commercial performance. This includes leading certified divers, assisting instructors during courses, maintaining the appearance and functionality of the dive center, and contributing to retail and sales activities. The position acts as a role model for safety, service excellence, and environmental responsibility.


Job Responsibilities

General Operations

  • Report directly to the Dive Center Manager and support the smooth and efficient operation of the dive center.
  • Lead certified divers on guided dives from the asset, ensuring safety, professionalism, and high-quality guest engagement.
  • Assist instructors with the delivery of dive courses in accordance with PADI standards and procedures.
  • Support the Senior Manager in the development and operational readiness of dive centers across other assets, when required.
  • Prepare dive boats and teaching environments daily to ensure operational readiness.
  • Assist with daily cylinder filling, equipment handling, and maintaining a clean, professional dive center appearance.
  • Support retail and dive-related sales activities, acting as a brand ambassador for Galaxea experiences.
  • Collaborate with Sustainability and SEZ teams to ensure alignment with environmental and marine protection requirements.
  • Work remotely and attend office locations as operational needs require.

Establishment of Dive Center – Pre-Opening

  • Work alongside the Senior Manager to support the development, setup, and commissioning of the dive center and its operational components.
  • Coordinate with RSG departments during the delivery phase to support operational phasing and readiness targets.
  • Develop familiarity with dive sites accessible from the asset, including conditions, entry/exit procedures, and environmental sensitivities.

Establishment of Dive Center – Post-Opening

  • Maintain the highest safety standards when leading dives; safety is always the top priority.
  • Ensure all diving and underwater tourism activities are conducted in a professional and compliant manner.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of PADI products and courses offered, including prerequisites, materials, standards, and documentation.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records are maintained for dive activities, training, and certifications.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, management, guests, and external stakeholders.

Policies, Systems & Procedures

  • Adhere to all RSSE, Galaxea, and functional policies, SOPs, processes, and instructions to ensure consistent and controlled operations.

Safety, Quality & Environment

  • Apply safety, quality, and environmental management policies to ensure guest and employee safety, regulatory compliance, and responsible marine practices.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across dive center operations, systems, and practices in line with international best practices.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Active and renewed PADI Divemaster certification.
  • Minimum 250 logged dives across various geographic locations.
  • Strong knowledge of PADI courses and standards.
  • Proven background in dive center operations and dive retail.
  • Hospitality and guest service experience.
  • Diving health and safety experience.
  • Equipment handling and basic maintenance knowledge.
  • Marine conservation awareness.
  • Valid Fit-to-Dive medical.

  • Valid powerboat license.
