Position Summary

As the Division Contracts and Customer Experience Manager, you will lead Parker’s Fluid Systems Division contract management, strategic customer engagement, and aftermarket management functions. This critical leadership role is responsible for overseeing complex, multi-divisional contract negotiations while also ensuring Division’s proactive customer relationship management and alignment of aftermarket support with long-term business objectives.

You will serve as a trusted advisor and senior liaison to Division leadership and key customers, driving strategic initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and operational excellence with a focus on aftermarket business. Leading multiple teams—including contracts management, program management, aftermarket, and key account management—you will foster collaboration, mitigate risk, and deliver business-driven solutions that support growth and profitability.

Reporting directly to the Division General Manager, you will play an integral role in shaping divisional strategy, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure Parker’s competitive edge in the aerospace market.

Essential Functions

  • Manages and is accountable for the establishment and performance of military and commercial contracts for all Divisional programs. Leads complex negotiations of critical and/ or strategic significance to the division. Leads multi-level contract negotiations by applying strong commercial acumen and thorough knowledge of systems, products, and services.
  • Serves as the Divisional Leadership liaison and facilitator with customers and SSO to resolve issues and assure customer satisfaction. Provides the customer with liaison support within and cross-site on existing and new programs.
  • Identifies opportunities for the Division by staying aware of competitors’ products, problems, market intelligence, and identifying trends in the Aftermarket.
  • Acts as prime consultant to management on significant customer and contractual issues. May provide leadership to others in department or to ad-hoc teams.
  • Develops, manages, and supports proposals for follow on/contract business opportunities for Division.
  • Determines the need for cross-division initiatives to retain customer business.
  • Contributes to meeting business objectives and participates in strategic planning at the Division and Group level. Participates on the Group Contract Management Leadership Team to develop and implement Group-wide strategies.
  • Provides expert advice and interpretation of legal contract and subcontract terms and conditions to minimize or reduce risk and potential liabilities. Analyzes, defines, and estimates the potential impact of contract liability and works with and across divisions to determine negotiation strategy and workable alternatives
  • Plans, develops, recommends, and implements training, procedures, and systems to be used for contract review and commercial acumen across the Division. Participates in high-risk or complex areas such as multi-division contracts, major sub-contracts, joint ventures, and/or systems contracts. Establishes criteria and process for the review of contract exceptions.
  • Leads and mentors contracts management, program management, aftermarket, and key account management teams, ensuring the teams are equipped to deliver on organizational performance objectives.

Qualifications

Education and Certifications:

  • JD degree required; master degree (MBA) in Business Administration or a related discipline preferred
  • Contracts management certification preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, including 7 years in a significant leadership role overseeing complex contracts or multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proven track record in managing high-stakes contract negotiations within aerospace ore related manufacturing environments.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Advanced expertise in contract management processes, legal principles, risk assessment, and compliance, including knowledge of US export control regulations and designation as an Empowered Official if applicable.
  • Exceptional commercial acumen with demonstrated negotiation and strategic decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience in building, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing at all organizational levels and engaging with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in leveraging contract management technologies, project management tools, and data analytics to drive informed business decisions.
  • Deep understanding of product lines, market dynamics, and technology relevant to the Fluid Systems Division.
  • Ability to quickly identify and address critical issues of complex programs and lead team to develop action plan to improve performance. Able to make solid tactical and strategic decisions.

Competitive Compensation: Pay Range: $171,420 - $300,000 annually
