Position Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Deputy Manager Procurement & Tendering to join our team. This role involves managing the procurement process and overseeing tender submissions for DISCOs and PPRA. The ideal candidate will be experienced in tender management, procurement, and production planning, ensuring the smooth execution of projects while maintaining cost-effective and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily tenders from PPRA and DISCOs, promptly informing the GM/CEO about relevant opportunities.
- Prepare and submit tenders in compliance with DISCO requirements after CEO approval.
- Plan and oversee production to align with tender specifications and ensure project requirements are met.
- Monitor production processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Negotiate with vendors to procure raw materials at competitive rates, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure continuous procurement of raw materials to avoid production disruptions and losses.
- Manage and clear all outstanding purchase orders on a monthly basis, ensuring timely processing.
- Maintain up-to-date production documentation and ensure all records are regularly updated.
- Conduct quality control checks on raw materials and finished products to meet tender specifications and industry standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including DISCOs and NTDC.
- Manage inspections, process running bills, and ensure vendor payments are completed on time.
- Oversee the receipt of store items and maintain records according to company procedures.
- Manage procurement processes for all production-related materials, ensuring timely availability and compliance with specifications.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SAP B1 for procurement and tendering management.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and tracking.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in procurement and tendering, preferably in the energy sector (DISCO/PPRA experience is a plus).
- Strong negotiation skills with a focus on cost optimization and vendor relationship management.
- Excellent knowledge of production planning, procurement processes, and tendering procedures.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs120,000.00 per month
