The Medical Officer is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to students, faculty, and staff within the college campus. The role includes preventive, curative, and emergency healthcare services, ensuring a healthy campus environment, and promoting Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Care
- Provide primary medical consultation and treatment for students, faculty, and staff.
- Diagnose and manage common illnesses, injuries, and health conditions.
- Handle emergency cases promptly and provide first aid or stabilization before referral to higher-level care if needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical medical practices.
Health Monitoring & Preventive Care
- Conduct regular health check-ups, medical camps, and vaccination drives.
- Promote preventive healthcare through awareness programs on hygiene, nutrition, lifestyle diseases, and mental health.
- Maintain medical records of students and staff (digital/manual).
- Monitor communicable disease outbreaks and implement preventive measures.
Emergency & Crisis Management
- Provide 24/7 availability (on-call duty, if required) for medical emergencies.
- Liaise with local hospitals, ambulance services, and healthcare providers for referral and advanced treatment.
- Train hostel wardens, staff, and student volunteers in basic first aid and emergency response.
Administrative Duties
- Supervise medical clinic staff (nurse, pharmacist, assistants).
- Ensure proper maintenance of medical equipment, medicines, and consumables.
- Prepare periodic health reports for the management.
- Ensure compliance with statutory healthcare norms and institutional policies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: MBBS degree from a recognized university. (MD/General Medicine preferred).
- License: Must be a registered medical practitioner under the State/National Medical Council.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience (preferably in hospital/educational institutions).

- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making ability.
