POSITION SUMMARY
The Smile Design Doctor is responsible for evaluating, planning, and performing cosmetic dental procedures, including smile makeovers, veneers, crowns, minimally invasive restorations, and full-mouth rehabilitation when necessary. This role requires excellent diagnostic ability, superior aesthetic judgment, and strong communication skills to guide patients through their smile transformation journey.
The ideal candidate is a results-driven cosmetic dentist with high attention to detail, passion for aesthetics, and commitment to exceptional patient care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESClinical Duties
- Perform comprehensive smile design evaluations (digital or manual).
- Complete cosmetic procedures including veneers (composite & porcelain), crowns, bridges, bonding, whitening, and Invisalign/clear aligner cases.
- Design and approve treatment plans (standard and VIP packages).
- Take or supervise clinical photography, digital impressions, and aesthetic measurements.
- Review lab cases and collaborate with dental labs for high-quality results.
- Ensure proper patient follow-up, post-op care, and clinical outcomes.
Patient Interaction
- Provide patients with clear and confident explanations of their treatment options.
- Communicate benefits, expected results, limitations, and risks.
- Participate in emotional close techniques and support the sales team during consultations.
- Maintain a positive, comforting, and professional chairside manner.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
- Work with the Treatment Plan Coordinator and Sales Team to convert consultations to cases.
- Collaborate with dental assistants and clinical team to ensure smooth, efficient procedures.
- Maintain communication with management regarding case flow, patient satisfaction, and clinical needs.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all procedures meet state regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate charting, documentation, and patient records.
- Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection-control protocols.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of clinical workflows and patient experience.
PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Case acceptance rate for smile makeovers

QUALIFICATIONS
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited institution
- Active Florida Dental License (required)
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in cosmetic dentistry (preferred)
- Skilled in veneer preps, aesthetic protocols, and smile design principles
- Strong photography, digital design, and communication skills
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience with veneer protocols, minimally invasive dentistry, and facial aesthetics
- Familiarity with digital dentistry (iTero, 3Shape, or similar)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced cosmetic practice
- Team-oriented mindset with commitment to growth and excellence

Pay: $109,797.95 - $132,229.78 per year
