Job Title: Document Controller ( Native Arabic Speaker)

Experience Required:
- Total Experience: Minimum 5 years
- In Similar Role: At least 2 years as Document Controller in a related industry
- Sector Experience: Consultancy, Abu Dhabi projects, infrastructure and building developments
Role Purpose:
The Document Controller is responsible for the effective management, control, and distribution of project documentation in line with client, project, and authority requirements. The role ensures compliance with document control procedures and supports the project team with timely access to the latest versions of project files.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain an organized document control system in accordance with project requirements and ISO standards.
- Manage document flow for incoming and outgoing correspondence, submittals, drawings, RFIs, and technical documents.
- Ensure all documents are correctly logged, indexed, stored, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Review documents for accuracy and compliance with document control procedures before distribution.
- Track and monitor document revisions, transmittals, and approvals, maintaining up-to-date records.
- Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure timely submission and response to documents.
- Control the issuance of project documents and maintain version control to prevent discrepancies.
- Prepare document status reports and ensure timely retrieval of information for project meetings or audits.
- Interface with client and authority portals (e.g., Aconex, ePro, or other systems used in Abu Dhabi).
- Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive project documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience, with at least 2 years in a Document Controller role in the infrastructure or building construction industry.
- Consultancy experience is mandatory.
- Proven experience working on road and infrastructure projects, especially in Abu Dhabi.
- Familiarity with authority submission protocols (e.g., ADM, Musanada, etc.) is a strong advantage.
- Proficient in document control software/tools (Aconex, EDMS, SharePoint, MS Office Suite).
