Document Controller
Location: Abha, Saudi Arabia
Reports to: Project Director / Project Manager
About the Role
The Document Controller will be responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining all project documentation in line with company procedures and industry standards. The role ensures accurate distribution, control, and retrieval of documents to support project execution, compliance, and reporting.
Responsibilities

Document Management

Establish and maintain document control systems for all project correspondence, drawings, and records.

Ensure all documents are properly filed, archived, and easily retrievable in both electronic and hard copy formats.

Assign document numbers, track revisions, and ensure proper version control.

Compliance & Quality Control

Ensure that all project documentation complies with company procedures, client requirements, and industry standards.

Review and check documents for accuracy and completeness before distribution.

Monitor deadlines for submissions, approvals, and responses.

Coordination & Distribution

Distribute documents to internal teams, contractors, and consultants as per agreed protocols.

Maintain up-to-date document registers and logs.

Coordinate with project engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure timely submission of documents.

Reporting & Support

Generate weekly and monthly reports on document status and outstanding actions.

Support the project team in preparing presentations, meeting minutes, and reports.

Assist in audits and project close-out documentation.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.

5–8 years of experience in document control, preferably in construction or fit-out projects.

Proficiency in EDMS systems (Aconex, Primavera Unifier, or similar) and MS Office Suite.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
