Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Document Controller to manage and maintain all project documentation for our interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience handling construction and fit-out documents, and the ability to work closely with project teams to ensure document accuracy, version control, and timely distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, control, and maintain all project documents including drawings, RFIs, submittals, method statements, and approvals
- Ensure proper document numbering, filing, and version control in line with company procedures
- Distribute documents to internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors in a timely manner
- Track document submissions, approvals, and revisions
- Maintain up-to-date document registers and logs
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Site Teams to ensure document compliance
- Ensure confidential documents are securely stored and accessed only by authorized personnel
- Support audits by providing required documentation when requested
- Assist in preparing reports related to document status and progress
- Archive completed project documents properly for future reference
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Document Controller in interior fit-out or construction projects
- Strong knowledge of fit-out documentation processes
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), EMAAR , DM Portals
- Experience with document control systems (Aconex, Procore, or similar is an advantage)
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with shop drawings and material submittals
- Experience working on commercial or residential fit-out projects
- Basic understanding of construction workflows
