Document Delivery Technician

The State Library of Ohio invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Document Delivery Technician located in Gahanna, Ohio.

What are this position's duties?
If you’re selected for this position, you can expect to spend your time:
  • Providing excellent customer service to all the State Library's internal and external customers
  • Safely operating various equipment including a forklift, scissor lift, and pallet jack
  • Processing time-sensitive inbound or outbound essential documents to ensure statewide access
  • Operating a computer to enter and retrieve data including fulfilling daily tasks using the ALMA Library Services Platform
  • Picks up, loads, unloads, and delivers various material weighing up to 70 lbs. (driving a State Library van or pool car to other facilities)

Qualifications
12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in operating intelligent, high-speed mail processing equipment (e.g., intelligent mailing system, inserter, burster, folder, ink jet labeler, letter opener & letter extractor) & material handling equipment (e.g., pallet stacker, pallet jack, EZ Go cart); 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in operation of personal computer; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in general U.S. postal regulations.

  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above. Note: If position requires operation of state vehicle to pick up &/or deliver documents, applicant must also possess valid Ohio Driver's License. If position requires operation of motorized vehicle regulated under Chapter 4506 of Revised Code, applicant must also possess valid Commercial Driver's License.

This position is unclassified per ORC 124.11(A)(7)(b) and as such, serves at the pleasure of the appointing authority.
