Are you an experienced outdoor enthusiast who loves working with dogs? Do you have a background in professional dog walking, hiking, training, or off-leash adventures? The Daily Dog is looking for a confident, responsible, and dog-savvy individual to lead structured off-leash adventure hikes while helping dogs develop solid recall and social skills.

We’re a small, dedicated team that prioritizes professional growth, mentorship, and top-quality care for our canine clients. If you’re passionate about dogs, the outdoors, and behavior-based handling, we’d love to meet you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead structured off-leash adventure hikes for 3-6 dogs at a time.
  • Ensure safety, engagement, and structure during hikes using recall and training techniques.
  • Transport dogs safely to and from designated locations.
  • Monitor group dynamics and proactively manage behavior on trails.
  • Follow individualized training plans to reinforce obedience and social skills.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards for dogs and transport areas.
  • Take photos/videos for social media and client updates.
  • Administer basic canine first aid if needed.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, teammates, and management.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Prior experience handling off-leash dogs professionally (dog hiking, pack walking, training, or similar).
  • Confident working with all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
  • Excellent recall and pack management skills – must be comfortable managing a group in outdoor settings. Previous experience with e-collar work is a plus!
  • Reliable, responsible, and proactive with strong communication skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable SUV or crossover vehicle to transport dogs safely.
  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of dog body language and behavior.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Part-Time: Monday-Thursday, 9 AM-4 PM, Friday 9 AM-1 PM.
  • Compensation: $15-$18/hour, depending on experience.
  • $0.70/mile reimbursement when transporting dogs.

Location: Must be local to the Seacoast, NH area as we service the surrounding towns. Our service area spans: Portsmouth, Rye, North Hampton, Greenland, Stratham, and Exeter.
