Adventure Guides are a special breed:

• You’re ready to walk miles in all types of weather.
• You’re comfortable with off-leash trails, excited dogs, and muddy paws.
• You’re eager to challenge yourself and the dogs while ensuring fun, safety, and engagement every step of the way.

Hours are not guaranteed, and can vary from week-to-week. Therefore, this position works best for those who already have a job and are looking to supplement their income.

Currently, we need help Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Job Details

• Operating Hours: 9am - 5pm - 7 days per week
• Availability: Must be available the same days/times each week.
• Weekends: Must be available for some weekends and some holidays
• Flexibility: Shifts from 2 - 8 hours available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take dogs on neighborhood walks and enrichment-focused outings.
• Oversee playtime in secure, fenced-in yards.
• Safely transport dogs to local trails for off-leash adventures.
• Manage basic care needs (feeding, water, medications).
• Drive dogs to appointments (vet, groomer, daycare) as needed.
• Follow client instructions to ensure personalized care.
• Provide detailed, engaging updates to clients after each visit.

What We’re Looking For:

• 1+ year of professional pet care experience preferred (kennel, daycare, pet sitting, veterinary, etc.)
• Will consider the right candidate who has 5+ years of intensive dog ownership. This would include experience hiking with your own dog on/off leash, and/or working with a behaviorally challenging dog alongside a professional trainer.
• Must be 18+ years old with a valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Smartphone savvy and responsive to messages.
• Willing to work outdoors in all types of weather. We hike in temps as low as 15 degrees (we limit exposure in extremes).
• Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
• Ready to learn new skills and take assigned continuing education courses.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

Opportunities for Growth:

• Team Trainer: Train new hires after 90 days (pay increase included).
• Team Lead or Leadership Positions: Take on greater responsibility and earn additional pay increases.
