Dog Walker

We are a local dog walking company based in Brookline and Newton, offering individual and paired neighborhood dog walks and specializing in force free pet care.

We are currently seeking a reliable, responsible, and dog loving person to join our team of walkers. Our clients have come to expect a high standard of care and attention to detail, so effective time management and communicativeness are necessary traits for our employees. Other requirements are as follows:

• Have at least partial availability Monday–Friday between 10am–4pm
• Hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle
• Be able and willing to work in all weather
• Be committed to using modern force-free handling and training methods (paid training will be provided).
• Have experience interacting with/caring for dogs. Previous professional dog handling experience and knowledge of behavior/body language is a plus but not required.
• Must be able to pass a background check, as we are bonded and insured.

Competitive pay and ability to pick up overnight pet sitting gigs if you would like. Pay is based on commission per completed service, starting at 50%, and consistently averages out to $19-$22 per hour. Total weekly time commitment is ~20–25 hours/week. We have a fixed client list with weekly recurring appointments, so your schedule will remain quite steady week by week.
