Merry Puppins is an award-winning dog-walking and pet-sitting company serving Pittsburgh’s East End and Fox Chapel areas (Highland Park, Morningside, Lawrenceville, Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, Regent Square, Aspinwall, Millvale, O’Hara, and nearby neighborhoods).

Position Details

• Schedule: Part-time, 3–5 days per week (Monday–Friday)
• Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday availability is required.
• Hours: Typically between 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (start between 8–11 AM; end between 2–4 PM)
• Average walks: 3–6 per day
• Location: Client homes throughout Pittsburgh’s East End & Fox Chapel

This position offers flexibility within those hours, based on your availability and our scheduling needs.

What You’ll Do (Job Description)

• Travel to clients’ homes to walk dogs midday
• Walk one or two dogs at a time (same household only – no pack walks)
• Refresh water, give treats, clean up messes, and bring in mail or packages
• Provide cuddles, playtime, and enrichment
• Communicate clearly through our scheduling app and follow visit instructions

✅ Requirements

• Must love dogs and be confident handling all sizes and breeds
• Prior experience required: professional, volunteer, or extensive personal dog handling
• Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle (public transit not feasible for this role)
• Must live in or near Pittsburgh’s East End or be able to commute easily
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Pass a background check
• Smartphone with data plan (for scheduling app & GPS)
• Physically able to walk multiple dogs daily, in all weather conditions
• Commit to at least one year of employment
