Pet Care Provider – Dog Walking & Cat Care

Position Overview

We are looking for a dependable, animal-loving Pet Care Provider to join P2W. This role involves daily dog walks and general pet care duties in clients’ homes. The ideal candidate is trustworthy, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and passionate about providing exceptional care to pets.

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs of all sizes and energy levels safely and responsibly.
• Provide fresh water, meals, and treats as instructed by clients.
• Administer basic medications (pills, drops, etc.) as directed.
• Clean up after pets (yard waste, accidents).
• Send timely updates and photos through our portal after each visit.
• Follow detailed instructions for each pet’s routine, preferences, and safety needs.
• Ensure homes are left secure (doors locked, alarms set as directed).
• Communicate with the office about schedule changes, pet concerns, or emergencies.

Requirements

• Genuine love for animals and comfort with dogs.
• Ability to work independently, manage time well, and follow detailed instructions.
• Reliable transportation (car preferred) and valid driver’s license.
• Smartphone with data plan for check-ins and communication.
• Physical ability to walk dogs (sometimes large or strong) in all weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work weekdays, some evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Clear background check (required).

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience in pet care, dog walking, or animal shelter/clinic work.
• Ability to recognize signs of pet illness or distress and respond appropriately.
• Comfort caring for multiple pets at once.

Preferred Times Needed

• 8AM to 12PM
• 10AM to 2PM
• 12PM to 4PM
• Monday thru Friday

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
