Job description

Strutting Mutts is looking for a reliable, experienced dog walker to join our team. This role includes walking dogs in Williamsburg and Greenpoint, handling pickups and drop-offs safely, and giving each dog consistent, attentive care throughout the day.

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, professional, comfortable working independently, and confident managing dogs with different personalities and energy levels. Applicants must have previous professional experience safely walking 4 dogs at once. Strong communication, good judgment, and hands-on dog experience are important. Most of all, we want someone who genuinely loves dogs, takes pride in their work, and will be a great fit for our team and our clients.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and drop off dogs safely and on time
• Walk up to 4 dogs at once in a professional setting
• Pay close attention to dog behavior and group safety
• Follow client instructions and company procedures carefully
• Communicate clearly with management about schedules, issues, and updates
• Provide reliable, loving care to every dog on your route
• Handle dogs confidently in busy neighborhood settings and all weather conditions

Qualifications

• Previous professional dog walking experience required
• Must have experience safely walking 4 dogs at one time
• Strong understanding of dog behavior, body language, and leash handling
• Comfortable working with dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels
• Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently
• Good judgment and strong attention to safety
• Friendly, professional, and respectful with clients and team members
• Familiarity with Williamsburg and Greenpoint is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50 per hour
