Responsibilities

• Safely lead dogs on daily walks, adhering to individual needs and behavior cues
• Ensure proper animal handling, restraint, and control during walks to prevent injuries or escapes
• Monitor dogs’ health and behavior throughout walks, reporting any concerns promptly
• Maintain clean and organized equipment, including leashes, harnesses, and waste disposal supplies
• Provide basic pet care such as hydration, cleaning up after pets, and offering companionship during walks
• Follow all safety protocols related to animal handling, veterinary procedures, and heavy lifting when necessary
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ activities, behaviors, or special needs

Qualifications

• Prior experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care is highly preferred
• Strong animal restraint skills and familiarity with pet grooming are beneficial
• Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with pet owners
