Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

We are looking to add someone to our team that meets the following requirements:

1. Must be willing to commit to a year

2. Available to work M-F 10-1, but be open to changing hours.

3. Put a small amount of dogs in your own vehicle

4. Do overnights, some weekends, or weekday PM visits. (with plenty of notice)

5. Live in the area, no more than 10 miles-- (Natick/Framingham ideally)

6. Have a reliable vehicle and cell phone.

7. Work in all weather conditions

8. Have good social skills with clientele.

9. Be a good team member and bring a positive attitude to our team

10. Willing to have a background check

Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Dog Walker and Pet Sitter to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to pets by walking, feeding, and engaging with animals in their owners’ absence. Your enthusiasm for animal handling and pet care will help ensure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved during their time with us.

Duties

• Take dogs on scheduled walks, ensuring proper handling and safety at all times
• Provide attentive pet sitting services including feeding, administering medication if needed, and companionship
• Monitor pet behavior and ensure animals are comfortable and secure during visits
• Perform animal restraint techniques safely during grooming or veterinary visits when necessary
• Maintain detailed records of pet activities, behaviors, and any health concerns observed
• Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets’ well-being and any notable issues
• Assist with light pet grooming or cleaning tasks as required

Requirements

• Prior experience in dog training, animal handling, or pet sitting preferred
• Knowledge of veterinary procedures or veterinary technician/assistant experience is a plus
• Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments confidently and safely
• Experience with animal restraint techniques and general animal care practices
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting pets or supplies)
• Excellent customer service skills to build trust with pet owners
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred for flexible service routes
