Do you love walking dogs? Are you a reliable worker? Then join our dynamic team as a Dog Walker at North Shore Dog Walk and unleash your passion for animal care! We are looking for a dedicated dog walker to who has flexible availability during the late afternoon and early evening (3pm-7pm) Wednesday -Sunday for a regular weekly walking schedule. The right candidate would have experience with dogs, transportation and good energy! North Shore Dog Walk has been a leader in the industry for over 15 years.

Duties

• Lead safe, enjoyable walks for dogs across various breeds and temperaments, ensuring proper leash handling and animal restraint techniques
• Monitor dogs’ behavior during walks, recognizing signs of stress or discomfort and responding appropriately
• Maintain clean and organized equipment, including leashes, harnesses, and pet supplies
• Provide basic pet care during walks such as hydration, cleaning up waste, and offering comfort when needed
• Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets’ activities and any observations during walks
• Assist with pet sitting duties when required, including feeding, administering medication, or light grooming
• Uphold safety protocols by managing heavy lifting of supplies or equipment and practicing manual handling techniques to prevent injury

Requirements

• Prior experience with animal handling, pet care, or kennel work is highly desirable
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal restraint methods
• Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions is preferred
• Strong customer service skills to communicate clearly with pet owners and team members
