As a Dog Walker with M & N Pet/Home Services, you will provide safe, reliable and compassionate care for clients dogs while they are away or unable to walk them. Your primary responsibility is ensuring each dog receives appropriate exercise, potty breaks, fresh water and individualized attention while following all client instructions.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely leash, harness and walk dogs of various breeds, sizes and temperaments.
  • Provide potty breaks and ensure pets have access to fresh water upon returning home.
  • Follow each client’s customized care instructions, including feeding, medications and behavioral needs.
  • Clean up all pet waste during walks.
  • Monitor pets for signs of illness, injury, overheating or unusual behavior and report concerns immediately.
  • Send detailed visit updates with photos after every visit.
  • Ensure homes are left exactly as found by locking doors, setting alarms and securing gates.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Follow all company safety protocols, emergency procedures and confidentiality policies.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Comfortable walking dogs of all sizes and energy levels.
  • Ability to walk in various weather conditions, including Texas heat.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Dependable, trustworthy and punctual.
  • Previous animal care experience is required & training will be provided.

Physical Requirements:

  • Walk 30–60 minutes at a time.
  • Bend, kneel, squat and stand for extended periods.
  • Handle multiple daily visits while traveling throughout the DFW area.
  • Work outdoors in varying temperatures.

Schedule:

  • Flexible scheduling.
  • Morning, midday, evening, weekend and holiday availability may be required based on client demand.

Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone who genuinely loves animals, is patient, dependable and treats every pet like their own. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, pays close attention to detail and understands that the safety and well being of every pet is the highest priority.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
