*This job is for supplemental income only, and may be ideal for someone who is retired. We do not guarantee hours, shifts are posted and assigned on a first come first served basis. Most shifts are morning / mid-day. If you already have a job, you will not be a good fit.

Duties

• Walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments, ensuring safe and enjoyable outings
• Provide pet sitting services including feeding, administering medication, and engaging in playtime
• Handle animals with care using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and handlers
• Maintain cleanliness of pet areas, including kennels and cages, following health and safety standards
• Observe pet behavior during walks and sitting sessions to identify any signs of distress or health issues
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ activities, behaviors, and special needs

Skills

• Strong animal handling skills with experience in dog training and obedience techniques
• Knowledge of veterinary procedures, animal restraint, and basic pet first aid
• Prior veterinary technician or assistant experience is highly desirable
• Ability to lift heavy objects such as bags of pet food or equipment safely and efficiently
• Excellent customer service skills to build trust with pet owners and address their concerns
• Compassionate attitude combined with energetic enthusiasm to keep pets engaged and happy
