Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate dog walker and pet sitter to join our team. This role involves ensuring the safety and well-being of pets while also providing a positive experience for both the animals and their owners. The ideal candidate will live in Apollo Beach, as traveling is mandatory within the Waterset community and its surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Handle general care tasks such as feeding, walking, and providing water to the pet
• Engage in play activities and exercise with the pet
• Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, sometimes multiple dogs at once, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
• Maintain a clean environment by picking up after pets during walks
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet's behavior and needs
• Deliver exceptional customer service to foster a strong relationship with the pet's owners
• Send messages and reports to clients about feedings, temperament, and other updates of their pet via a smartphone app

Qualifications:

• Must be an adult and have the following: G.E.D. or higher, driver's license, reliable car, and smartphone
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Previous experience in pet sitting or pet care is highly desirable
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is a must
• Ability to interact with animals in a calm and non-threatening manner
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with a smartphone, tech savvy is a must
• Strong communication skills to ensure pet owner satisfaction
• Ability to walk a dog at the same time as taking photos and recording a message to the pet owner via an app

Hours & Pay:

• Hours will fluctuate in shifts as follows: between 7 AM - 9 AM, 12 PM - 2 PM, 4 PM - 6 PM, and 7 PM - 9 PM
• Paid travel between consecutive jobs
• Holiday pay (using the Hillsborough County School District calendar)
