Red Rover Pet Care is hiring!

Red Rover Pet Care is a Fem/queer owned owned local business dedicated to quality dog walking, pet sitting, and in client-home overnight care.
We are looking for a walker with at least four days of availability, hours fluctuate but average 20-30, plus in-client home overnight pet sitting sporadically. Thanksgiving and Christmas availability is also extremely helpful.

For this position we need someone who is comfortable with walking a dog up to 100 lbs, preferably with experience doing so. We also need someone who is willing to stay overnight in client's homes to care for the animals when requested. Holiday availability is extremely helpful. Walkers must be able to independently navigate Minneapolis and St. Paul. They also must be able to hold themselves accountable for time, organization, and task management on the job.

Requirements:

Age 18+

Must live in the metro area, and be prepared to drive to and from client's homes.

Availability similar to what is listed above.

MUST have a reliable vehicle and drivers license.

A love for animals and the outdoors. Even when it's gross out.

Experience working with animals professionally is a bonus, but not a requirement. This includes working for a dog walking and pet sitting service, a doggy daycare, having shelter or rescue experience, or veterinary clinic experience. This does not include personal pets or caring pets of friends and family.

Be a reliable, trust worthy individual with a strong work ethic. Be prepared to work with a small diverse crew, be comfortable addressing others using they/them pronouns, and be able to adapt quickly to changes throughout the work day.

Come to work on time and dressed for the weather. Be prepared to work in all Minnesota weather conditions.

Be physically able to walk up to 3 medium size dogs for an hour at a time.

Have a basic knowledge of Minneapolis and Saint Paul streets.

Pay is $16/hour during training, $17/hour after training, and $17.50 after 6 months.
