Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker and Pet Sitter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and exercise for dogs and other pets in our community. The ideal candidate will possess a love for animals, strong customer service skills, and the ability to handle various dog breeds and sizes. This position requires physical stamina, as you will be walking dogs in various weather conditions while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Provide loving, attentive care to dogs, cats, and other pets
• Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and mental stimulation.
• Maintain a safe environment for the dogs during walks. Ensure pets' safety and well-being at all times
• Communicate effectively with pet owners and follow specific care instructions for each client
• Handle any necessary heavy lifting, such as assisting larger dogs or managing equipment like leashes and harnesses.
• Ensure that all dogs are properly hydrated and cared for before, during, and after walks.
• Maintain accurate records of each walk, including time spent, distance covered, and any notable behaviors or incidents.

Qualifications

• Some prior animal or pet care experience is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.
• Ability to manage multiple dogs at once while ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Physical capability to perform heavy lifting when needed and walk for extended periods.
• A genuine love for animals with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
• Must be over 18 with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Able to work occasionally with other as needed.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour
