A.M. Pet Sitter

We are an established and well-loved pet sitting company that serves Hartford and Slinger, and select areas of Washington County.

We are seeking exceptional pet sitters to add to our staff.

Pet Sitting Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care, including feeding, fresh water, and administering medications if needed.
• Offer companionship and playtime to reduce stress and promote well-being.
• Groom pets as required, such as brushing or basic cleaning.
• Ensure litter boxes, cages, or bedding are clean and hygienic.
• Handle specific needs for various pets, including birds, cats, or exotic animals, as instructed.
• Perform house-sitting tasks, such as watering plants, collecting mail, or adjusting lights, if requested.
• Communicate with clients regularly to provide updates, photos, and assurance of their pets' care.
• Monitor pets for signs of illness or distress and report immediately to the owner or veterinarian.
• Follow emergency protocols for unexpected issues, such as pet injuries or household emergencies.
• Respect and protect the client’s property and home security.

Information regarding visits:

• Visits are 1-2 times per day at the clients home for approx. 3-14 days. Must be available weekdays & weekends as needed by client.
• Visits for dogs are 15 to 60 minutes between 6am-2pm. (as needed by clients)
• Visit times for cats/small animals are more flexible and are usually once daily for a 30-minute visit.
• Pay Rate: $7.50-20.00/per visit (depends on the length of visit scheduled by client)
• This is a very part-time job to start. More opportunities available as we grow.

Requirements for the dog and cat visitor position:

• ✅ Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• ✅ Be a dedicated and knowledgeable animal lover who enjoys caring for animals.
• ✅ You love both dogs and cats and are not allergic.
• ✅ Be at least 18 years old and able to pass a federal background check.
• ✅ Own a smartphone and be comfortable using apps and texting.
• ✅ You understand this job is meant to be supplemental and does not guarantee hours.
• ✅ You can commit to working with us for at least 1 year.
• ✅ You can work at least 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years.
