Duties

• Take dogs on engaging walks tailored to their individual needs, ensuring proper exercise and stimulation.
• Provide pet sitting services that include feeding, administering medication if needed, and maintaining routines.
• Monitor pets’ behavior during walks and visits, employing animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both animals and handlers.
• Offer basic pet grooming and cleanliness care to keep animals comfortable and healthy.
• Handle animals with patience and confidence, utilizing dog training techniques to promote good behavior.
• Maintain detailed records of pet activities, health concerns, and special instructions for owners.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets’ well-being and any concerns observed during visits.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of dog training methods and veterinary experience is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with animal restraint techniques, pet grooming, and kennel experience is advantageous.
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely as required for handling supplies or assisting larger animals.
• Excellent customer service skills to build trust with pet owners and address their needs professionally.
• Veterinary technician or assistant experience, as well as equine experience, are valuable assets.
