Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

***We are interviewing late next week, so please include what area of Houston you live in (We do not reply to anyone that does not live in our service area) and what days/times you are available to be considered***

We are hiring for pet sitters who need supplemental income. Must be able to walk dogs, be comfortable with cats, and pet sit (hours vary), in the Houston Metro area. Our service area is west of downtown, The Heights, Oak Forest, Garden Oaks, Washington area, Montrose, West University, Bellaire and the Galleria area. You MUST live in our service area and MUST be able to work 2 weekends a month. If you do not include what area you live in, we will not be contacting you.

Qualifications:

Your own reliable vehicle/Drivers' License and be able to drive/travel to ALL of our service area.

A smart phone

People-person who loves dogs/pets of all kinds (are able to go on new-client consultations)

Available mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends and Holidays to do dog walking and pet sitting. Must be ok with cats and all size dogs. This is not a straight 8-5pm position and you must be flexible.

A clean background (we do our own background checks)

Responsibilities
- Provide daily pet care including feeding, walking, and playtime for various animals.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all pets under your care.
- Administer medications or treatments as directed by pet owners.
- Follow specific instructions for each pet's individual needs and routines.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for the animals.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' well-being and any concerns.
- Utilize animal handling skills to manage different temperaments and behaviors.
- Assist with basic grooming tasks such as brushing and bathing.
- Monitor pets for any signs of illness or distress and report any issues promptly.
- Engage in positive reinforcement training techniques for dogs when applicable.
