Responsibilities

• Take dogs on engaging walks, ensuring proper leash handling and safety protocols are followed at all times
• Provide attentive pet sitting services, including feeding, administering medication if needed, and supervising playtime
• Maintain pet safety through proper animal restraint techniques and handling skills during walks and visits
• Monitor pet behavior and health cues, reporting any concerns or unusual signs to pet owners or veterinary professionals
• Perform basic pet grooming tasks such as brushing or cleaning paws to keep animals comfortable and clean
• Assist with training exercises or behavioral reinforcement to promote good manners and obedience
• Keep detailed records of each pet’s activities, health status, and special needs for owner updates

Skills

• Proven experience in dog training, dog handling, or animal care roles such as veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience
• Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage dogs safely during walks or pet sitting sessions
• Knowledge of veterinary procedures, animal restraint techniques, and pet grooming practices
• Ability to lift heavy objects such as bags of pet food or equipment safely and efficiently
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and address their concerns confidently
• Experience with kennel management or heavy lifting tasks related to animal care environments is a plus
• Passionate about animal welfare with a genuine love for pets of all types and sizes

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
