Duties

• Take dogs on engaging walks, ensuring proper exercise and socialization tailored to each pet’s needs
• Provide attentive pet sitting services, including feeding, administering medication, and maintaining routines
• Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques during walks or care visits
• Perform basic pet grooming tasks such as brushing or bathing when needed
• Monitor pet behavior closely, recognizing signs of distress or health issues and communicating concerns promptly
• Maintain detailed records of each pet’s activities, health status, and special instructions
• Assist with animal handling tasks that require patience, care, and gentle restraint, including veterinary visits or kennel stays

Requirements

• Prior experience with dog training, animal handling, or pet sitting is highly desirable
• Knowledge of veterinary procedures or veterinary technician/assistant experience is a plus
• Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and pet grooming skills is preferred
• Ability to handle heavy lifting when necessary for supplies or equipment
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
• Strong animal care background, including kennel experience or equine experience if applicable
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are often required for travel between client locations
