Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

Cypress Coast Canine Care provides top-notch dog & cat care and house sitting services throughout Monterey and the surrounding cities. We are looking to hire team members who are innately passionate about canines and are dedicated to providing excellent canine care and house sitting services.

We are hiring independent contractors and hours are flexible/ considered supplemental income- there are no guaranteed, set hours (This is a great job for someone looking to earn extra income around their work/school schedule).

Pet Professional Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

• Must have excellent communication, customer service, time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Prior pet care experience is required, with the ability to create a safe and positive environment for clients’ pets
• Must be detail-oriented and able to follow company and client-provided care instructions.
• A commitment to providing first-class customer service
• Must be proficient in spoken and written English
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Job Requirements:

• Must have a smartphone with a data plan for communication via messaging and photographs
• Be prepared to work in conditions that may involve exposure to solvents, disinfectants, animal dander, saliva, urine, feces, teeth, and claws
• Must be comfortable with tasks such as overnight care, drop-in visits, walks, special event care, and other services during weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Must enjoy an active work environment, including walking outdoors in various weather conditions, standing for extended periods, bending, squatting, kneeling, and walking stairs
• Must be capable of handling animals of all sizes and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Reliable, insured transportation is required for travel to office locations, client homes, or key locations upon request
• Must be 18 years or older, legally authorized to work in the United States, and able to pass a background check
• Hours are flexible and supplemental, with no guaranteed set schedule. This role is ideal for those looking to earn extra income around work or school commitments

1099 Contractor compensation is paid per completed service ($15–$100), with total earnings varying based on the number of services completed within each pay period.

Contractors also receive 100% of all client gratuities.

Contractors have the opportunity to receive new client and team member referral bonuses

Pay: $15.00 - $100.00 per day
