FurBabies & Friends is an award-winning, 5-star rated pet care company serving Glendale and the Phoenix West Valley. We are currently hiring reliable, detail-oriented Dog Walkers and Pet Sitters for daytime, evening, and overnight care.
This is not a casual “play with puppies” role. Our clients trust us with their homes and pets, including puppies, senior pets, and dogs with behavioral needs. We are looking for individuals who are professional, dependable, and committed to following care instructions exactly.
This position is ideal for those seeking flexible, part-time income while working independently and making a meaningful impact in pets’ lives.
Responsibilities
- Provide structured dog walks and enrichment visits tailored to each pet’s needs
- Complete drop-in pet sitting visits including feeding, medications, playtime, and home care tasks
- Follow detailed care instructions and training guidelines provided by clients and the company
- Safely handle dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and temperaments, including reactive or fearful dogs
- Monitor pet behavior and health, and report any concerns promptly
- Provide real-time updates to clients with notes, photos, and visit summaries
- Maintain cleanliness of pet areas including food prep, litter boxes, and waste removal
- Complete visits on schedule and communicate proactively about any issues
Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Must have a smartphone with data for communication and visit updates
- Must be comfortable working independently in clients’ homes
- Must be available for weekends, holidays, and peak travel times
- Must be able to walk 3–5+ miles per day in Arizona weather conditions
- Must be comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Must pass a background check
- Must be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Preferred Experience
- Prior pet sitting, dog walking, or animal care experience
- Background in dog training, veterinary care, or animal behavior (a plus, not required)
- Experience administering medications
- Strong understanding of pet safety and handling
Compensation & Schedule
- $15–$25+ per visit depending on service type

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
