Responsibilities

• Take dogs on enjoyable walks, ensuring they get adequate exercise and mental stimulation.
• Provide pet sitting services that include feeding, administering medication if needed, and maintaining daily routines.
• Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills.
• Monitor pets’ behavior and health, reporting any concerns or veterinary issues to owners or veterinary professionals.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for pets by cleaning up after them and ensuring their living areas are well-maintained.
• Assist with pet grooming tasks such as brushing or bathing when required.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets’ activities, behaviors, and any special needs or instructions.

Skills

• Experience in dog training and handling to manage various temperaments confidently.
• Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable for understanding animal health needs.
• Strong animal handling skills with the ability to restrain animals safely during walks or grooming.
• Knowledge of pet care practices including feeding, medication administration, and basic first aid.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist with pet transport or equipment setup.
• Excellent customer service skills to build trusting relationships with pet owners.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
