Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Walker and Pet Sitter to join our team. This role is perfect for animal lovers who have experience in pet care and handling. As a Dog Walker and Pet Sitter, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for pets while ensuring their safety and well-being. Your passion for animals will shine through as you engage with pets in a nurturing environment. Position is on an as needed basis, hours are not guaranteed. You will be driving alot to different towns different times of the day including mornings, nights and weekends. You must be over 18 years with a high school degree. This is an Independent Contractor (1099-tax form) position. We are specifically looking for candidates who reside in Hebron/Amston or Marlborough, or within a 5-minute commute of those areas.

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and socialization.
• Provide pet sitting services, including feeding, administering medications, and maintaining a clean-living environment for pets.
• Monitor the health and behavior of pets, reporting any concerns promptly.
• Utilize dog training techniques to reinforce positive behavior during walks and visits.
• Handle animals safely and effectively, employing proper animal restraint techniques when necessary.
• Maintain clear communication

Experience
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills:

• Experience in dog training or handling, demonstrating an understanding of canine behavior.
• Experience in animal handling is a plus.
• Previous experience in pet sitting or kennel environments is beneficial.
• Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with business owner
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, such as carrying large bags of pet food or assisting larger animals. Join us in providing loving care to pets while enjoying the flexibility of working with animals every day!

Job Type: Contract

Projected Total Compensation: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
