Fairfield County, CT (primarily Stamford–Fairfield, with occasional Monroe, CT)
Part-Time / Independent Contractor (1099)
Flexible schedule – must be available for mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays

What You’ll Do

• Dog walking (all sizes, breeds, and temperaments)
• Pet sitting and overnight stays
• Cat and small animal (critter) visits
• Livestock visits (feeding and basic care)
• Pet transportation (vet/grooming appointments)
• Administer medications (if experienced or willing to learn)
• Send updates/photos to clients
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and comfort in clients’ homes

Pay Structure

• $15 – 30-minute visits
• $20 – 60-minute visits
• $25 – 90-minute visits
• $80 – Overnight stays

Note: This is a 1099 contractor role. No mileage reimbursement; however, work-related expenses may be tax deductible.

Requirements

• Experience with dogs and other animals (required)
• Strong dog handling skills and confidence with different temperaments
• Knowledge of basic animal care and behavior
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Honest, dependable, and able to work independently
• Flexible availability (including weekends and holidays)
• Must pass a background check

Preferred (Not Required)

• Veterinary student or working in an animal-related field
• Experience administering medications
• Experience with multiple species (cats, reptiles, farm animals, etc.)
• Pet CPR/First Aid certification
