A pet sitter's job is to care for a pet in the owner's home while they are away. Responsibilities include:
- Feeding and watering: Providing fresh food and water for the pet
- Exercise and playtime: Providing exercise and playtime for the pet
- Cleaning: Cleaning litter boxes and trays, and disposing of waste
- Medication: Administering medication as needed
- Health care: Taking the pet to the vet if they become unwell, and monitoring their health for changes
- Companionship: Providing companionship and affection for the pet
- Housekeeping: Performing basic housekeeping duties as needed
- Updates: Providing updates to the owner on the pet's progress
- Photos: Sending photos to the owner to assure them that all is well
Qualities sought in pet sitters include:
- Being able to handle multiple dogs at once
- Being able to identify signs of stress, pain, fear, and aggression
- Being trustworthy, reliable, and dependable
- Having strong customer service skills
- Having excellent communication skills and flexibility
- Being able to work on their feet for long periods of time
- Having a passion for animals (dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, etc)
Requirements:
- Be 18 years or older
- A reliable car
- Car insurance in your name
- A smartphone
- Availability between 7a-8p
- Ability to pass background check/ID verification

Cell Phone Reimbursement: $0.25 per hour
Mileage Reimbursement: $0.72.5 per mile
