Duties

Dog Walking

• Safely walk dogs of varying sizes and temperaments
• Monitor pet behavior and ensure safe leash handling
• Perform basic dog training exercises to promote good behavior and obedience during walks and visits (training provided)
• Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets’ activities, behaviors, and any concerns that arise during visits

Pet Sitting

• Provide in-home care including feeding, fresh water, litter box/backyard cleaning, and companionship
• Administer basic medications (training provided)
• Maintain cleanliness and follow client instructions carefully
• Send updates and photos to clients
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by grooming pets as needed and managing pet waste responsibly

Backyard Cleanup

• Remove and properly dispose of pet waste from residential yards
• Ensure gates are secured before and after service
• Maintain sanitation standards and cleanliness (waste bags will be provided)
• Follow scheduled service routes efficiently

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma
• Must genuinely like animals and be patient, calm, and gentle with them (prior experience in pet sitting, dog handling, or animal care is highly preferred)
• Comfortable handling dogs of various sizes and energy levels (knowledge of dog training techniques and animal restraint methods is a plus)
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Strong time management and reliability
• Comfortable working independently
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $12.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 32 per week
