Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker/ Pet Sitter to join our team in/near Toms River NJ who is AVAILABLE: weekday middays. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and exercise for our clients' pets while ensuring their safety and well-being. As a Dog Walker/Pet Sitter you will have the opportunity to work outdoors, build relationships with pets and their owners, and contribute to the overall happiness of the animals in your care.

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and stimulation.
• Monitor the behavior and health of pets during visits, reporting any concerns to pet owners.
• Provide basic pet care services, including feeding and administering medication as needed.
• Maintain clear communication with pet owners regarding their dog's activities and any notable observations.
• Ensure all dogs are properly restrained during walks to guarantee their safety.
• Foster a positive relationship with clients through excellent customer service and professionalism.
• Stay informed about dog training techniques to reinforce good behavior during walks.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in pet care or related fields is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of dog training principles is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
• Ability to handle various breeds and sizes of dogs with confidence.
• Experience in animal restraint techniques is beneficial for ensuring safety during walks.
• Physical capability to perform heavy lifting as needed and walk long distances comfortably.
• A background in veterinary care or as a veterinary technician is an advantage but not mandatory.
