Job Title: Doorman (Hospitality Background)
Department: Front Office / Guest Services
Reports To: Front Office Manager / Concierge Supervisor
Position Summary:
The Doorman is responsible for creating a warm first and last impression for guests by welcoming, assisting, and guiding them upon arrival and departure. The role includes managing door and entrance operations, supporting luggage assistance, and coordinating with Concierge and Bell Desk to ensure a seamless guest experience. Previous hospitality experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warmly welcome and bid farewell to guests at the hotel entrance
- Open doors and assist guests entering and exiting vehicles or the hotel
- Provide assistance with luggage and coordinate with the Bell Desk
- Assist guests with directions, transport arrangements, and general information
- Maintain the entrance area in a clean, organized, and safe condition
- Monitor traffic flow at the main entrance and ensure smooth guest movement
- Support valet parking coordination when required
- Work closely with Concierge, Reception, and Security teams
- Observe guest behavior and report suspicious activities as per safety protocol
- Uphold guest privacy and confidentiality at all times
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience in hospitality or guest services preferred
- Good communication skills in English; additional languages an advantage
- Professional grooming and personal presentation standards
- Courteous, confident, and customer-oriented demeanor
- Physically fit to stand for long hours and assist with luggage
- Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays
