SUMMARY
The Doorperson ("Persona de la Puerta") welcomes our guests with a warm friendly smile and provides courteous, professional assistance to arriving and departing guests. Enthusiastically inform our guests of all amenities, features, and equipment available in the room and services available throughout the hotel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Conveys a favorable image of the organization by projecting a positive, professional appearance and demeanor to our guests.

Maintains a positive relationship with our guests throughout their visit by providing warm and attentive service.

Coordinates luggage assistance for our guests during their arrival and departure with the bell staff.

Contributes to the financial growth of the company by enthusiastically promoting the available amenities and facilities of our hotel.

Facilitates and expedites guest’s requests while working with other departments to ensure standards of guest services are met or exceeded.

Ensures transportation is readily available for our guests.

Coordinates traffic flow through the Porte Cochère with the valet department.

Politely answers guest’s questions and provides our guests with directions and information on the local area.

Provide a safe and secure environment for both our guests and colleagues by knowing and assisting in safety and emergency procedures.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.
QUALIFICATIONS

At least 3-12 months of relevant experience and/or training.

A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement.
- Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred.

Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
- Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.
- Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
- The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
