Drafter/Designer

Elevator Cabs and Surfaces specializes in elevator interior design, manufacturing, and installation. We are looking for a Drafter/Designer who can be an integral part of our design team and is willing to learn through experience and training. Applicant must be comfortable functioning independently as well as in a team environment.

Qualifications/Responsibilities:

• Experience in AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT (3-D Modeling experience is a plus)
• Proficiency in 2-D CAD or CAM of some sort
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to visualize and understand 3-D parts drawn in 2-D
• Ability to understand and maintain deadlines for submittal drawings and shop drawings
• Coordinate drawings and provide quality design work to customers' specifications and modify when needed.
• Ability to troubleshoot, research, and problem-solve when necessary
• Ability to understand and interpret field dimensions and revise shop drawings as needed to produce fabrication drawings.
• Assist with maintaining fabrication schedule for projects through time management software and adapting to changes promptly, including project scope being met in line with the estimated price.
• Ability to support Fabrication Shop with the necessary and appropriate workload. Able to optimize efficient quantities of material as often as possible for best usage.
• Work hands-on, measuring parts brought in by customers that need to be modified for emergencies

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
