Draftsman

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Joinery Draftsman with strong experience in preparing precise joinery, furniture, and fit-out drawings. The candidate should have an excellent understanding of production details, materials, and joinery techniques used in interior projects within the UAE. The role involves producing accurate shop drawings, coordinating with the design and production teams, and ensuring compliance with project and authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed shop drawings for custom-made furniture, joinery works, and interior fit-out elements (doors, cabinets, wall panels, counters, wardrobes, etc.).
• Convert concept and design drawings into accurate joinery production drawings.
• Coordinate with designers, project managers, and factory teams to ensure design intent and practical manufacturability.
• Review and modify drawings as per client, consultant, or site feedback.
• Ensure all drawings meet UAE standards, project specifications, and authority regulations.
• Prepare cutting lists, material take-offs, and hardware schedules for production.
• Maintain a systematic record of drawings, revisions, and approvals.
• Perform site visits and measurements when required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or Degree in Architectural Drafting, Interior Design, or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of joinery drafting experience in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of joinery materials (MDF, veneer, laminate, solid wood, acrylic, metal, etc.) and manufacturing methods.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or Cabinet Vision is an advantage.
• Excellent understanding of interior fit-out and joinery detailing.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with commercial fit-out projects.
• Knowledge of CNC fabrication requirements.
• Ability to prepare as-built drawings.
• Familiarity with UAE authority submission standards (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, etc.).
