Draftsman

Job Summary

The Draftsman is responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, plans, and 3D models in accordance with project requirements, engineering standards, and applicable regulations. The role supports engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed engineering and construction drawings, including site plans, layouts, sections, and details.
• Develop and modify drawings based on engineer and architect inputs.
• Create 3D models and visualizations using CAD and related software when required.
• Ensure drawings comply with approved designs, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Maintain and update drawing registers, revisions, and project documentation.
• Assist in site surveys, measurements, and verification of dimensions.
• Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and site teams to clarify drawings and resolve technical issues.
• Perform quality checks on drawings for accuracy, consistency, and completeness before submission.
• Support preparation of shop drawings, as-built drawings, and submission documents.
• Follow company procedures, confidentiality requirements, and document control standards.
• Carry out any other tasks assigned by management related to the scope of work.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or Certification in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Draftsman in construction / engineering projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); knowledge of 3D software such as SketchUp, Revit, or similar is an advantage.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, materials, and methods.
• Knowledge of local building regulations and standards is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Experience

• Minimum 2–5 years relevant experience (can be adjusted based on role level).

Work Conditions

• Site visits may be required as per project needs.
• Must follow company safety and confidentiality policies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
