Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes across Architectural, Structural, Civil, and MEP disciplines in line with approved BIM strategies and project requirements.
- Develop, integrate, and maintain discipline-specific and federated BIM models throughout all project phases, from design to construction and handover.
- Ensure effective collaboration and information exchange between consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to maintain model accuracy and consistency.
- Carry out clash detection, interference checks, and model quality audits using Navisworks or similar BIM coordination software.
- Lead BIM coordination meetings, technical reviews, and model review sessions to resolve design and construction conflicts.
- Extract coordinated drawings, schedules, quantities, and shop drawings from BIM models as required by the project.
- Produce visual outputs such as 3D views, walkthroughs, and presentations to support client reviews and project approvals.
- Maintain BIM data standards, common data environments (CDE), file structures, naming conventions, and version control procedures.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of BIM standards, templates, workflows, and automation tools.
- Monitor BIM deliverables and prepare periodic reports on model progress, coordination issues, and resolution status.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in BIM modeling, coordination, or digital engineering roles within construction or consultancy environments.
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD.
- Solid understanding of BIM Execution Plans (BEP), Levels of Development (LOD), model federation, and coordination processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and multidisciplinary design information.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple BIM tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
- Experience on GCC projects and possession of a valid driving license are considered advantageous.
