Draftsman

Job Overview

A draftsman converts ideas, sketches, and specifications provided by engineers or architects into accurate technical drawings using CAD software (such as AutoCAD, Revit). These drawings serve as blueprints for construction or production.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings from sketches, designs, and specifications
• Use CAD software to create, edit, and update technical drawings
• Work closely with engineers, architects, and project teams
• Ensure drawings meet project requirements, industry standards, and building codes
• Modify drawings based on feedback or design changes
• Create layouts, schematics, and structural or mechanical details
• Maintain documentation and drawing records
• Conduct site visits (in some roles) to verify measurements and conditions
• Assist in preparing materials lists, estimates, and project documentation

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD / Revit / SolidWorks
• Understanding of technical drawing principles
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to read and interpret engineering/architectural drawings
• Basic knowledge of construction, engineering, or manufacturing processes
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Time management and ability to meet deadlines

Education & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in:
• Civil Engineering
• Architecture
• Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
• 1–3 years experience (fresh to experienced roles available depending on company)

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs60,000.00 per month
