Draftsman – Desalination Construction Project (Qatar)

We are seeking an experienced Draftsman to join our team for a major Desalination Construction Project in Qatar. We are looking for a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in preparing construction and fabrication drawings for mechanical piping and infrastructure works within industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed construction, shop, fabrication, and as-built drawings.
• Develop and revise 2D drawings using AutoCAD in accordance with project specifications and client requirements.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Site Engineers, and QA/QC teams to ensure drawing accuracy and timely submissions.
• Prepare isometric drawings, piping layouts, equipment layouts, and general arrangement (GA) drawings.
• Incorporate design changes and maintain drawing revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all drawings comply with applicable international standards, project specifications, and company procedures.
• Maintain organized drawing registers and document control records.
• Provide drafting support during construction and project execution.

Requirements

• Diploma or Technical qualification in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Draftsman in industrial construction projects.
• Experience in desalination, water treatment, oil & gas, petrochemical, or EPC construction projects is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D). Knowledge of 3D drafting software is an advantage.
• Experience preparing piping, mechanical, structural, and general arrangement drawings.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent coordination skills.
• GCC experience is preferred.
• Available to join immediately or within a short notice period.

Pay: QAR2,500.00 - QAR4,000.00 per month
