Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman cum Document Controller to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and revising technical drawings, ensuring the accuracy of construction documentation, and maintaining a well-organized filing system for all project-related documents. This position requires a proactive individual with strong technical drawing skills, document management experience, and an understanding of civil and MEP works.

Key Responsibilities:

Drafting & Design:

• Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings for civil, architectural, structural, and infrastructure works.
• Revise drawings based on Authority engineers’ and clients’ feedback, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with engineers and site teams to update as-built drawings and shop drawings.
• Maintain drawing registers and ensure all drawings are properly referenced and traceable.

Document Control:

• Maintain, organize, and control all project documentation including correspondence, submittals, drawings, RFI, material approvals, and reports.
• Ensure proper filing, indexing, and retrieval of project documents in both soft and hard copies.
• Maintain records of revisions, transmittals, and document distribution logs.
• Support project teams by ensuring all documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Drafting.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in drafting and document control within a construction or contracting company in the UAE.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of document control systems (Aconex, Asite, SharePoint, etc.) is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Civil 3D, Revit, or other design software will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality, RTA, and DEWA drawing standards.
• Strong understanding of engineering documentation and site coordination procedures.
