Draftsman (Electrical)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare electrical shop drawings including lighting, power distribution, earthing, lightning protection, ELV systems (CCTV, access control, data, fire alarm), and equipment layouts.
• Develop coordination drawings integrating architectural, structural, HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting drawings.
• Prepare single-line diagrams (SLDs) and schematic diagrams as advised by engineers.
• Update drawings based on engineer comments and consultant/supervisor feedback.
• Develop accurate as-built drawings at project close-out.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers and site teams to reflect actual site conditions in drawings.
• Resolve clashes in coordination with other MEP services.
• Ensure drawings follow project specifications, IS/IEC standards, NFPA standards, and local authority guidelines.
• Verify dimensions, levels, and technical details before submission.
• Ensure revisions are incorporated promptly and accurately.

Qualifications & Skills:

• ITI/Diploma in Draftsmanship or Electrical Engineering.
• 2-4 years of experience as an Electrical Draftsman in MEP contracting.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems: LV/MV power distribution, lighting, earthing, ELV, nurse call systems, UPS, panels, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
