Draftsman - Joinery

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Draftsman with strong expertise in joinery and woodworking, capable of leading a drafting team and collaborating closely with production, design, and site teams. The ideal candidate will combine technical proficiency, leadership ability, and project coordination skills to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of draftsmen, ensuring technical accuracy, quality, and adherence to standards
• Prepare precise and detailed shop drawings for custom joinery items such as wardrobes, doors, wall cladding, counters, and cabinets
• Review and approve drawings prepared by junior draftsmen, ensuring compliance with project specifications
• Translate interior design concepts into fabrication-ready shop drawings
• Coordinate with production and site teams to ensure alignment with project requirements and manufacturing capabilities
• Conduct site visits when necessary to verify measurements and assess installation feasibility
• Plan and manage drawing schedules to meet project timelines

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Drafting, Interior Design, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in joinery or woodworking, including at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of SolidWorks, SketchUp, or other 3D software is an advantage
• In-depth understanding of joinery construction methods, materials, hardware, and finishes
• Proven track record in managing a drafting team and producing high-quality technical drawings
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design documents
• Capable of doing detail joinery drawings including Doors, cabinetry, wall cladding, furniture etc.
