Draftsman- Joinery & Fit-Out

Job Purpose:

To prepare detailed shop drawings, joinery details, and fit-out drawings based on approved design and site conditions, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project requirements and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drawing Preparation

• Prepare detailed shop drawings for joinery, fit-out, and interior works based on design intent and site measurements.
• Produce as-built drawings after project completion.
• Ensure all drawings are accurate, coordinated, and aligned with architectural, structural, and MEP layouts.

2. Design Coordination

• Coordinate with project engineers, designers, and site teams to resolve technical discrepancies.
• Review design drawings and highlight conflicts, discrepancies, or missing details.
• Incorporate client and consultant comments promptly in revised drawings.

3. Technical Detailing

• Develop joinery details, sections, and elevations for furniture, wall paneling, doors, wardrobes, counters, and other interior elements.
• Specify materials, finishes, and hardware details as per approved samples and specifications.
• Maintain consistency in drawing standards and file management.

4. Site Support

• Conduct site visits to take accurate measurements and verify conditions prior to drawing finalization.
• Provide technical support to the site and production teams during execution.

5. Documentation & Standards

• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards and consultant requirements.
• Maintain proper drawing records, revision logs, and backup files.
• Collaborate with procurement and production teams to ensure drawings reflect manufacturing and installation feasibility.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in joinery and interior fit-out drafting within the UAE or GCC.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and MS Office (knowledge of Revit or 3D tools is an advantage).
• Strong understanding of joinery materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
